Thank you Natures Organics Pty Ltd

How thoughtful. I don’t think the general public realises how much washing and laundry there is involved in during rescue of any kind.

A huge Thank You to Natures Organics Pty Ltd for donating another 18 cartons of Earth Choice Fragrance Free Wool Wash, so far they have donated 60 cartons (550 bottles) to W4W!

We donate the bottles to Wildlife Shelters and Carers across Victoria who are washing pouches and linen on a daily basis.

What a Magical and Heartwarming day!

Last Sunday we held our annual Support 4 Shelters Day at our Warehouse in Narre Warren.

Over 32 Shelters and carers arrived ready to fill up on donations of food, milk formula, medical supplies and equipment to help them prepare for the busy spring/summer seasons ahead.

It was amazing to catch up and meet the wonderful carers that dedicate their time to help protect and preserve Victoria’s native wildlife. It also gave the shelters an opportunity to connect, share information and spend some valuable time together.

Education and Collaboration

We are glad that Southern Ash Wildlife Shelter and their volunteers have enjoyed their time at the National Koala Conference and will be able to share their learnings with other carers.

Supporting wildlife shelters with specialised food, medical supplies and equipment is not the only thing we do, we are also big supporters of education and collaboration between wildlife rescuers and rehabilitators.

It’s important for carers to increase their knowledge about the animals they have in care and build valuable connections with professionals and like minded people in the industry.

Hi Guy's

You may or may not know that Colin and I are Wildlife Carers. We are currently looking after three Joey Kangaroos and two Wombats that need 24/7 care.

Hi Guys,
You may or may not know that Colin and I are Wildlife Carers. We are currently looking after three Joey Kangaroos and two Wombats that need 24/7 care.
As Disabled Pensioners it has always been a struggle to fund this passion of ours. We mainly care for very young Pinkies and look after them until about 3.5kg. at which time they move on to Helen at Gembrook Shelter for their next stage of Rehabilitation back to the wild. Helen and her property are ideal for this stage of teaching them to adapt back into Wild Life.
Many people do help us, we have Yolanda, a dedicated supporter of Wildlife who makes and supplies many people Pouches for all sorts of Wildlife in care. We are so blessed to have her support. We have Helen and our old friend Clare for advice and support as well as that of the incredible Vets at Avonsleigh Vet Practice.
More recently we have been blessed to connect to Louise and the team at Warriors4Wildlife locally in Narre Warren. We cannot show anywhere enough appreciation for the incredible generosity they have shown to us and many other Carers who are dedicated to Wildlife Rehabilitation. Without this support many Carers could not afford to dedicate themselves to the long hours needed to rehabilitate each animal.
We thank W4W for the donation of a Humidicrib that will allow us to better manage critical care animals. They have also been so supportive in supplying Formula and equipment that will allow us to continue our passion for these Orphaned beautiful creatures. W4W, you are our heroes.
— Jill and Colin

It's our Pleasure

Absolute MASSIVE thanks goes out this week to the team at Warriors 4 Wildlife

West Gippsland Wildlife shelter

Absolute MASSIVE thanks goes out this week to the team at Warriors 4 Wildlife

As a reptile specialist shelter, and one of the only in the area with facilities to house large monitors, this means that we often have to keep frozen rodents and other feed on hand and can go through quite a lot when we have big guys in care!
Being self funded also means we try to keep costs as low as we can.
Thanks to warriors 4 wildlife, this brand new chest freezer will mean we can buy in bulk at lower prices and always have enough food for the animals in care.

We are so grateful!

“Today I choose to live with gratitude.

Weelam Wildlife Shelter (post from facebook)

  ·

“Today I choose to live with gratitude for the love that fills my heart, the peace that rests within my spirit, and the voice of hope that says all things are possible.” – Anonymous

Warriors 4 Wildlife are a non profit charity and animal rescue service.

They help shelters across Victoria all year round in many ways.

Caring for wildlife takes a lot of time, money, physical and emotional energy. I am so grateful to know I can call on these guys in times of need.

They know that all wildlife matters, even those unfortunately identified as ‘common’. I’m a supporter of the ‘common’ species, for they too are unique, beautiful, interesting, and deserving of life. And we must never forget, in our attitude toward ‘common’ species, that those on the brink of extinction were common once.

So thank you @warriors4wildlife for all you stand for, all you do, and for the desperately needed supplies that arrived today, for the never ending arrival of orphaned ringtail possums.

Thank you Weelam Wildlife Shelter

Support your local wildlife shelter

How we are supporting local wildlife shelter.

Yesterday Warriors 4 Wildlife held our annual Support 4 Shelters day at our warehouse in Narre Warren.

A massive 27 Wildlife Shelters and Carers were supported with much needed supplies to help rehabilitate their animals in care and help prepare them for the busy summer months ahead We donated lots of milk formulas, pouches, medical and cleaning products, browse cutters, misting sprays, and donated 7 Brinsea Products Inc. car incubators!

Thank you also to the wonderful candidates of the AJP for attending Bronwyn Currie - Animal Justice Party Candidate for South-Eastern Metro, Austin Cram - Animal Justice Party for Eastern Vic and Gwynne Brennan - Animal Justice Party for Cranbourne. It was also great to meet the amazing Libby and her Mum Bec from Libby's Koala & Wildlife Crusade Inc.

Wildlife Shelters are hard working volunteers who receive little to no funding for the amazing work they do for wildlife. W4W and Wildlife Shelters could not do this without the generous donations from businesses and members of the public.

It’s amazing how much can be achieved when we all work together to help with the rescue, rehabilitation and release our fury, scaley and feathered friends.

Help Warriors 4 Wildlife help them or support your local wildlife shelter. What a wonderful and heartfelt day

Last Sunday we held our Possum Box Making Workshop, thank you to Bunnings Fountain Gate and Bunnings Clyde North (Clyde North, VIC, Australia) for donating all the materials and providing the space 🥰 Thank you also to the community for coming down to build these boxes that we will donate to wildlife shelters for their injured and orphaned possums to make a home in 🏡

Once the possums are ready to be released these boxes will be attached high up in a tree so they will not only have their home to live in but feel safe when transitioning from being in care to being back in the wild.
